It's been a while...

It has been quite some time since I last posted something. The summer is really flying by! I can't belive it is August already. Isaac is enjoying spending weekends with Granny and Gramps. We are so grateful for the time they spend with him. He has so much fun. I'm sure he would rather spend time with them than at home with a crying little brother and a stressed out mom sometimes! One thing is certain, life is so much harder now with two kids. I am lucky if I get a shower every day. Noah is now 2 months old and starting to smile now. I love being a mom, but sometimes I need a little "me" time and it seems non-existent right now. With Isaac's appointments and Noah's appointments and working part time, life is such a blur. I am trying to take pictures fervently for fear that I will miss documenting crucial events in my children's lives. I think the key is to just relax and enjoy them when they are this age. I have to learn that it doesn't matter if the laundry is caught up or the bathrooms need to be cleaned. The most important thing is building forts with blankets and pillows and cuddling on the sofa.

Hi Shiloh!

So good to hear from you again. I agree that the summer has totally flown by! I am impressed that in your situation you have any time to blog whatsoever. I can't imagine having 2 as young as Issac and Noah. Are you getting some rest?

I'm one of those people that loves nothing more than a clean and organized environment, so it's really hard for me to put what you describe into practice. But I agree that all that housework can and should wait. When our kids are teenagers and think they don't need us anymore, I don't want to be sitting around thinking about how many times I chose to mop or do dishes rather than sit down and play with Ethan. So much easier said than done though!

Keep up the great work and I hope you get some "Me" time.

As a mom of three kids who are now 14, 11 and 9-- I gotta tell you to hang on to these days! You won't remember a clean house but you'll remember the things you did with your kids. It is tough to balance it all out with the audiology appointments and things to do. Grab that "me" time whenever you can!
