Pre-School is a Success!

Today was Isaac's first day of pre-school. He had a blast. We got there 15 minutes early and he remembered that there were cars and trucks to play with in the classroom. His teacher told him he had to wait until the other girls and boys got there before he could go in the room. Surprisingly, he waited patiently, although he kept saying, " I like play cars...please mommy". When it was time to go to the room, he didn't even look back at me. I had to beg him for a hug and kiss. He is such a big boy.

Surgery Date

Isaac will go to CHOP on April 7th to have his left ear implanted. Since the 7th is a Monday, we have to call on the Friday before to get the time we have to be there. All these battles we have fought...getting denied for the second implant by insurance, changing insurance providers for medical assistance, finding a new PCP for the referrals becaues our old pediatrician didn't accept our new medical assistance insurance, getting seen by this new PCP before they normally see new patients so we could keep our appointment with the surgeon... all these battles were fought to get the elusive, "date of surgery". Now that we have the official date, I am excited, nervous and so many other emotions. I know God is in control and He has been for this entire roller coaster, I just feel a little sad sending my baby in for another surgery. April 7th will be here before we know it.

On another note, Isaac was supposed to start pre-school today, but we had to keep him home. I thought he had pink eye, but the Dr. said his eye just has a cold. Hopefully he will be well enough to go on Wednesday (His schedule is Mon, Wed and Thurs mornings). Instead of pre-school, we built a tent with pillows and blankets in the living room and hung out there.

Isaac's Appointment

I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post! The days seem to go by so quickly. This past Wednesday, Aunt Lydia watched Noah while Grandpa, Isaac and I went to Philly to meet with our surgeon. Everything is good, and next week we will pick a day for Isaac's surgery. I will post when we get confirmation of the date.

In other news, Isaac starts pre-school on February 25th! We are so excited, but a little sad because our little guy is growing up. Since he will be attending pre-school through our Intermediate Unit, he can have van transportation to and from school. As a mom, this is such a big step and I want to take him for a few weeks before I really let go and let him ride the van by himself. In all honesty, I feel he would be excited to ride the van right away, I guess I just have a hard time letting go.
